Prenj is often called the “Bosnian Himalaya” — a majestic, rugged massif that commands both respect and admiration.
Our “To the Green Head” route leads you to Zelena Glava (2,155 m), the highest and most famous summit of Prenj. The trail winds through ancient pine forests, crosses rocky plateaus, and climbs steeply toward the summit ridge. Each step brings more awe — from limestone towers to deep blue skies that seem within reach.
At the top, the panorama stretches endlessly: you’ll see the Adriatic shimmer in the distance, while surrounding peaks form a stone fortress around you. This hike is demanding but unforgettable — a true challenge for lovers of alpine adventure and pristine nature.
